![]() I think that is how I’d do it…but someone might come along with other suggestions. Once you are happy all is aligned you delete/discard the audio from the video tracks. ![]() You then open your video app load in the two videos PLUS the combined rhythm/solo track and then align your final audio track based on the count in that you’ll also see on the audio tracks for the videos. You now export that synced audio track as a single audio file. I then have two videos (with an audio track we’ll discard), two audio tracks in garage band WHICH are already synced as you recorded the solo along to the rhythm. I’ll then have two sync’d tracks in garageband - my rhythm and my solo. I hit record on Garage band and it’ll start playing the rhythm track (the count in should play), the video device will record me playing and the rhythm track plus me playing solo. I will have my video device ready to record it’ll record an audio track “live” of me playing over the rhythm. I will have my “solo” track in garage band ready to record. I make sure there is an audible count in so I can then align my “real” audio with video audio and make sure that part is in sync.įor the solo - In garage band I will setup my rhythm track to playback so I can hear it and play my solo against it. I have my “real” audio being recorded on a garage band track using an interface or something. I think the key is to make sure that you have a count in on BOTH videos which you can then line up in the video editing app.įor the Rhythm - I have my video being recorded on one device (it’ll also record an audio track which I’ll discard). I don’t think there is a “magic” way of doing this and I don’t think I’ve seen many people do that on here either so I think you will need build separate audio/video tracks and then pull them together in a video editing app. Hope the question makes sense and that I’ve posted in the right area (I wasn’t sure if it should be here or □ Software - JustinGuitar Community but I don’t think I can now move it sorry!). I like the fluid workflow in Logic and am hoping there is an approach that is similar and doesn’t involve a lot of post-processing in a full video editor (but I suspect that is the case…). I’ve tried recording video separately and editing in eg iMovie to sync a picture in picture but found it really painful to get the audio and video to sync. Is there a tool or technique to record multiple takes of both audio and video either in Logic or in sync with the Logic takes? In GarageBand or Logic etc I can record and layer multiple audio recordings but I can only have a single pre-recorded video channel. I’m interested in creating (non-professional) multi-part or layered video-audio recordings eg the typical rhythm track with solo part over the top but with video of both as well as audio.
